1. Number plate recognition and parking right
1.1 Parking in the Upoffiz | Upliving Ghent - Loop5 (BV) car park is permitted for vehicles recognised through number plate recognition, provided the vehicle has a valid parking right granted by a tenant of the site.
1.2 If a company exceeds the number of allocated parking rights, an amount of €1 are exclusive of VAT per started hour will be charged for the additional parking session.
2. Public parking outside office hours
2.1 Outside regular business hours (between 17:00 and 08:00 on weekdays and weekends), the car park functions as a public car park.
2.2 Public parking is possible from 17:00 to 08:00 and at weekends.
2.3 Public parking is charged at a rate of €1 excluding VAT per hour.
3. Height limit and vehicle limit
3.1 The car park of Upoffiz | Upliving Ghent - Loop5 (BV) has a maximum vehicle height of 2.1 metres.
3.2 Vehicles exceeding this height restriction will not be granted access to the car park. This applies to all types of vehicles, including vans, camper vans and vehicles with roof boxes.
3.3 Users must take responsibility for complying with this height restriction. The manager is not liable for damage to vehicles attempting to enter the car park with a height above 2.1 metres.
4. Use of charging stations
4.1 It is not permitted to park at a charging point without actually charging.
4.2 Parking at a charging station is charged at €0.10 per minute excluding VAT as long as the vehicle is parked at the charging station.
5. Signalling and traffic rules
5.1 All users of the car park are obliged to follow and respect the signage and traffic rules present on the premises.
5.2 Violation of these rules may result in additional charges or further action.
6. Payment methods
6.1 Payment can be made by holding the card against the terminal when driving out or by following the instructions in the payment terminal.
6.2 A receipt can be sent by e-mail after entering the e-mail address on the terminal.
7. Visitor registration
7.1 Visitors to companies should sign in and register their number plate in advance.
7.2 If a visitor enters the car park without being pre-registered, the driver should ask the receiving company to waive the parking fee. This can be arranged by the receiving company through the provided software (Capacity).
8. Code of conduct
In the car park, it is forbidden:
8.1. To overtake another vehicle.
8.2. To park outside the designated parking spaces.
8.3. Parking without permission in a reserved car park or where a parking ban (temporary or otherwise) has been introduced by the car park manager.
8.4. To wash cars, carry out work or leave items within the parking facility.
8.5. Driving in with a trailer, car wreck or vehicle without a number plate.
8.6. To smoke or cause any other fire.
8.7. To discharge waste.
8.8. To distribute advertising leaflets or other documents without the prior agreement of the person in charge of the car park.
8.9. Using snow chains, with damage caused by use being recovered from the offender.
8.10. Ignoring the verbal instructions of staff (parking attendant, hospitality coaches, etc.).
8.11. If the above rules are violated, the total cost of the intervention will be charged, plus a fine of €100.00 excluding VAT.
9. Security and camera surveillance
9.1 The entire car park of Upoffiz | Upliving Ghent - Loop5 (BV) is monitored 24/7 with cameras to ensure the safety of all users and vehicles.
9.2 The camera images can be used in case of incidents such as damage, theft or violation of parking rules.
9.3 All users of the car park are deemed to agree to camera surveillance when using the parking facility.
10. Invoicing and payment
10.1 The parking machines are operated by Worldline.
10.2 The receiving party for all parking charges is Upoffiz | Upliving Ghent - Loop5 (BV).

11. Road towing scheme
11.1 The manager reserves the right to move vehicles if necessary for the use of the car park, for example if they are parked in inappropriate locations or parked for long periods without notice.
12. Liability
12.1 Upoffiz | Upliving Ghent - Loop5 (BV) is not responsible for theft, damage or loss of property in the car park. Vehicle parking is entirely at your own risk.
13. Applicable law
13.1 All disputes relating to these parking regulations shall be governed by Belgian law.
