From highway location to vibrant neighbourhood. Ghent city council has drawn up a new vision for the future of the Loop.
The Loop is known today as a connection between the E40 and the R4, but that is about to change. The City of Ghent and project partners see this district developing into a vibrant city district with a mix of functions. In the future, it will offer pleasant shopping, services, offices but also housing, catering and recreation. One thing is certain: more greenery and space for water. In short, the new hotspot / attraction of Ghent.
Mayor Mathias De Clercq also sees this as a milestone and is already enthusiastic.
